I played a pivotal role in the development of ‘Pub Pong’, which was released into the Apple App Store late 2009. The game compromises a ‘Pong’ style with the bats replaced for hands and the ball replaced by drinks moving around a bar. My role in the project involved all the design work as well as the core engine of the game. It shows skills in the following areas:
- Ability to design consistent, decent looking visuals for games.
- Ability to develop more complex, glitch-free, physics engines.
- Ability to harness the power of the accelerometer (motion control).
- Ability to develop multiplayer compatible games over a bluetooth network.
Pub Pong can be found here in the App Store.
